Christian Songs for New Years' Services

Christian Songs for New Years' Services

As a new year begins, many of us will take time to reflect on the year just gone and look forward to the year to come.

As churches around the globe gather together this week many will mark the beginning of a new year, in one way or another.

For most of us, this will likely include choosing to sing songs which carry particular meaning at this time.

I’ve selected 3 songs you might like to use, all of which are suitable for congregational singing. I’ve included videos, lyrics and links to lead sheets and music below.

All Of Our Tomorrows

Sovereign Grace Music

Music & Lyrics

This spinning world by Your own hand
Hurls ever on around the sun
The seasons march at Your command
The old departs, the new year comes
And though celestial is Your gaze
You search and care for all our ways
We offer up to You this day
And all of our tomorrows

May zealous youth and cautious age
Determine not the steps we choose
Great Shepherd, guide us through each day
Oh, how we want to follow You
Come Living Way, our way make clear
Let perfect love drive out our fear
Be Thou our vision, now and here
And all of our tomorrows

When winter makes us reminisce
Of warmer days so distant now
Of cherished saints the sun once kissed
Whose beauty passed behind the clouds
Let all our fond and longing tears
Remind us we are pilgrims here
We trust You, Sovereign of our years
With all of our tomorrows

Hands to the plow, we’re pressing on
And running hard to win the prize
Empowered by the love of God
With grace before and grace behind
For lo, what hope before us stands
You finish all that You began
Eternal joy is in Your hands
And all of our tomorrows

All My Ways Are Known To You

CityAlight

Music & Lyrics

In days of peace and days of rest
In times of loss and loneliness
Though rich or poor, Your word is true
That all my ways are known to You

No trial has come beyond Your hand
No step I walk beyond Your plan
The path is dark outside my view
Still all my ways are known to You

And oh what peace that I have found
Wherever I may be
For all my ways are known to You
Hallelujah, they are known to You!

I do not fear the final night
For death will be the door to life
You take my hand and lead me through
For all my ways are known to You

Open up my eyes so I may see
That You have made these ways for me
Open up my eyes so I may see
That You my God, will walk with me

All Glory Be To Christ

Dustin Kensrue/Kings Kaleidoscope

Music & Lyrics

Should nothing of our efforts stand
No legacy survive
Unless the Lord does raise the house
In vain its builders striveTo you who boast tomorrow’s gain
Tell me what is your life
A mist that vanishes at dawn
All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing,
All glory be to Christ!

His will be done
His kingdom come
On earth as is above
Who is Himself our daily bread
Praise Him the Lord of love

Let living water satisfy
The thirsty without price
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet
All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign will ever sing,
All glory be to Christ!

When on the day the great I Am
The faithful and the true
The Lamb who was for sinners slain
Is making all things new.

Behold our God shall live with us
And be our steadfast light
And we shall ere his people be
All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our king!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign will ever sing,
All glory be to Christ!

How Hello Church Can Help With Service Planning

When it comes to planning church meetings and services, Hello Technology makes it simple.

The Calendar tools make it quick and easy to schedule your meetings. You can define roles (such as Music Leader and Preacher) and then use the planning feature to create an interactive service plan, containing videos, Bible readings, prayers, notices and whatever else you need ahead of time.

Once you’re done preparing your service plan you can share it with your team as a PDF or via email, as required.
