Church Planner

About Jack Barber

My name is Jack Barber and I’m a freelance web developer based in North Yorkshire. I’m also an elder at Grace Church Loftus, which is part of the FIEC.

A few years ago I built Church Service Planner. It was designed to help leaders of small churches support their congregations through the COVID lockdowns. Church Service Planner was widely used by churches across the UK and around the world, much to my surprise!

I always had in mind to build a better version, but never found the time.

In spring 2024 I returned to freelance web development, having spent the previous 3 years working internally with one of my larger clients. I was also welcomed into eldership at our church, and have experienced the demands of working full time alongside a church leadership role.

Church Planner is a tool designed specifically for the demands of small church leadership, communication and organisation. It’s designed to be simple and easy to use.

Hear More About Church Planner

Watch this short video to hear more about how Church Planner came about. Be aware that Church Planner was originally called 'Hello Church', to match my company name, but I had to change it there's a church ministry in the USA with the same name!
